According to sources from India Today, the complaint was filed on Wednesday, prompting the DCP (West)'s office to request an explanation. The issue arose when Pavithra was taken to the crime scene by the police in Bengaluru. During this time, she was seen wearing lipstick and makeup, and even appeared happy, which sparked controversy. S Girish, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), issued a notice to the sub-inspector from Vijayanagar police station, who was overseeing Pavithra's custody. Girish explained, "Pavithra used to stay at her home every night where she had probably kept her makeup bag. The lady PSI used to go there every morning to pick her up and bring her to AP Nagar police station. The lady PSI could have observed this and stopped Pavithra from doing that. For this negligence, she has been issued a notice for explanation."

The incident that led to Pavithra's arrest occurred on June 8, 2024, when Renuka Swamy was found dead near the Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. Swamy had reportedly sent disparaging remarks to Pavithra, who was Darshan's girlfriend. On June 10, reports emerged that Darshan, Pavithra, and their accomplices were involved in the murder of the 33-year-old pharmacy worker and fan, Renuka Swamy.

In a related event, Darshan had an emotional moment when he met his wife Vijayalakshmi, son, and a close friend at the Bengaluru Central Jail. According to his friend, the interaction was brief, lasting only a second. This meeting underscores the ongoing personal and legal turmoil surrounding Darshan and Pavithra amidst the murder investigation.

The police's decision to issue a notice to the sub-inspector highlights the importance of maintaining professional standards and the need for accountability in handling high-profile cases. As the investigation continues, the public and media will be closely watching how the authorities manage and resolve this controversial case.
