Kichcha Sudeep Records Statement Against Producers MN Kumar-NM Suresh In Defamation Lawsuit; Refuses To Drop The Suit
Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep has amassed a huge fan following in the country because of his versatile performances and charming personality. A few months ago, he had filed a defamation case against filmmakers MN Kumar and NM Suresh. In a media conference the producer had accused the actor of evading meeting them after accepting fees for a movie, seven years ago.

According to a report by Indian Express, the producers had alleged that they had incurred substantial losses because of his ‘failure to meet his responsibilities’ towards the project that was scheduled to begin after the release of Vikram Rona. Sudeep had gone on to refute the rumours and file a defamation suit against the filmmakers. On Thursday, he recorded his statement before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court. As per the report by the news agency PTI, the 50-year-old actor appeared before the court headed by Judge Venkanna Basappa Hosamani . In his statement, Kichcha stated that the two producers had made false accusations against him in the media conference that they had held. He claimed that many people are questioning the allegation, which has brought disrepute to him. When asked if he would drop the litigation if the producers apologised and are ready to come to a compromise, Sudeep refused to do so. He stated that it will send the wrong message to the producers. The judge adjourned the case to Friday for orders.

Earlier in July, talking about the matter he had said, “I wouldn’t have survived in the industry for such a long period of time if I had committed mistakes. It becomes a contempt of court if I speak about the entire issue, let the court decide.”

On the work front, Kiccha Sudeep was last seen in R Chandru directorial Kabzaa. The period action film also stars Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar, Shriya Saran, Sudha, Murali Sharma, and Nawab Shah in pivotal roles.
