Sidhu Moosewala's Parents In Legal TROUBLE For Violating The Age Limit Of 50 During IVF Treatment- Read REPORTS
Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala’s tragic death shook the entire nation. His sudden passing, after he was shot, left the music industry and his fans with a heavy heart. His admirers celebrated his ‘return’ as his parents, Charan Kaur and Balkaur Singh, announced the birth of his younger brother, through an IVF treatment, a few days back. While netizens were busy welcoming the little munchkin, the musician’s parents came under fire for violating the age limit for IVF which is 50.

As per various media reports, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu’s parents Balkaur and Charan allegedly violated the rules of IVF to welcome the baby. The centre sought a report from the Punjab Government on the alleged violations by the musician’s parents aged 60 and 58 respectively. A notice about the same has now been revealed. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the notice reads, “Under Section 21(g)(i) of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, the age limit prescribed for a woman going under ART Services is between 21-50 years.”

Discussing the matter with the Hindu,  Archana Dhawan Bajaj, an IVF expert, spoke about why it is important to conceive a baby before the age of 50. Shedding light on how 25-35 is the best age to conceive a baby, she explained that aging brings along various ailments like “blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases.” Also, the child must have reasonable parental support.

Senior gynecologist at the La femme and Rosewalk Hospital in Delhi, Shelli Singh, stated, “In case a woman wishes to avail of ART services beyond this age, she must have a detailed medical and physical examination, including verification of good mental health. The couple must have insurance for the unborn child, and also clear-cut guidelines as to who will be the legal guardian of the child in case they die and are thus unable to take care of the child.”

For the unversed, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022. A member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Goldy Brar, claimed that he was responsible for the singer's murder. The late singer was among the 424 people whose security was pruned by the Punjab Police on a temporary basis.
