For all the music lovers out there, here is a piece of news that will make your oh-so-boring homebound time even more exciting, with something to eagerly wait for. Times Of Music, an MX Original series is all set to celebrate Indian music and will feature the crème de le crème of the Indian film industry. At a time when there’ve been many a controversy on songs that have been remixed without permission, inevitable comparisons on both versions, rows over royalty, plagiarism and disappointment expressed by fans – this 11-episode show will feature a streak of music maestros from various generations and they will be recreating each other's tunes in an atmosphere filled with love for the craft, respect for one another and most importantly – mutual consent to reimagine the other’s work.

Well, this comes as a fresh breath of air, especially at a time when there's a trend of spoiling classics with forced beats and unwanted locals, which is a big no-no among all the music lovers. This one-of-its-mind musical reality series is going to be hosted by the hugely popular Vishal Dadlani and will chronicle the creativity and evolution of music in the film industry. Recreating memories with 22 iconic songs – the show’s innovative format will see each episode feature 2 composers of different eras soak in the philosophy behind the other’s celebrated song, its ethos and interpret it in his own way to create a fabulous new rendition.

So, now, here's the best part. The celebrated duos on the 11 episodic series are Salim - Sulaiman & Laxmikant - Pyarelal, Viju Shah – Mithoon, Ajay - Atul & Kalyanji - Anandji, Vishal & Shekhar – Bappi Lahiri, Anand - Milind & Sajid – Wajid, Sachin - Jigar & Euphoria, Amit Trivedi, Agnee, Shantanu Moitra – Amaal Mallik, Rajesh Roshan – Himesh Reshammiya and Indian Ocean – Sneha Khanwalkar.
