Sunidhi Chauhan’s Fan Throws Bottle At Her During A Concert; Singer REACTION Wins Hearts, Says, ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?’- WATCH
Sunidhi Chauhan was performing at the Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s annual fest when a fan threw a bottle on stage next to her leaving her shocked
Sunidhi Chauhan is one of the most sought-after singers in the Hindi music industry of her generation. She has been performing live for her fans for quite some time now and the netizens have been going gaga over the glimpses of her concerts. She recently performed at the Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun’s annual fest Zenith 2024. However, the experience soon turned sour when a fan threw a water bottle at her while she was performing on the stage.
Visibly shocked at the gesture, since the bottle landed right next to her, she calmly questioned the crowd on their indecent behaviour. She was singing one of her iconic songs during the incident. A netizen by the handle @rishabhuncutnews on Instagram, took to their handle to share the now viral video. As the bottled water landed right next to her, spooking her, she expressed her shock in a singing tone. As the crowd cheered, she was heard asking, “Yeh kya ho raha hai? Bottle phenkne se kya hoga? Show ruk jayega. Do you want that?”
As the video went viral on Instagram, netizens quickly took to the comment section of the post to laud her for being humble and slam the fan for their behaviour. One wrote, “Shameless people really! Sunidhi is a legend…” Another wrote, “Shreya and sunidhi have my whole heart just because of this. Humble nature. Mature mind. They know how to handle these kinda situations.” Other one wrote, “She could’ve easily left the show. But she didn’t. Queen for a reason.” One commented, “Instead of shouting, she responded it well by singing… More respect to @sunidhichauhan5 mam…” Another wrote, “This is sad to see. I can feel what she might be feeling as an artist who has come to perform for people, but then look at the people.”
This is not the first time something like this has happened. It was in January last year when veteran musician Kailash Kher was also attacked by a plastic water bottle during his Hampi concert. A half-filled water bottle was thrown at him for singing Hindi songs.
Talking about the same, during an interaction with the Hindustan Times, he shared, “It was such an energetic crowd of close to 50,000 people and everyone was singing along. Par har jagah kuch log hote hain jo zyada excited ho jaate hain. Two impulsive young boys got restless. They wanted to hear Kannada songs. Since we had a pre-decided sequence of songs, I asked them to have patience. We had a surprise set planned, as I wanted to pay a musical tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar sir (late Kannada actor). I had prepared a medley of the hit songs I had sung for him. The plan was to render it towards the middle of the show. But those guys lost patience and threw a water bottle towards the stage.”
