Come Wednesday night, the A-list of Mumbai will be grooving to Justin Bieber’s tunes at his concert. What does our home-grown music talent including Raftaar and Armaan & Amaal Mallik think of the visitor?
Justin Bieber’s Mumbai concert is being touted as the
event of the year with the Bollywood A-list waiting for the Canadian popstar’s
performance. We spoke to a few Indian musicians for their take on the frenzy
surrounding the concert and the songs they want Justin Bieber to perform.
Raftaar: Good artistes like Justin Bieber are always
welcome in India.I love his song Need You.

Armaan Malik: Justin Bieber is a gem of an artist and to
reach those heights at such a young age is truly commendable. Also I feel proud
as an Indian to welcome him to India, as the gates have opened after Coldplay
performed here. One song which I would want him to perform would be Sorry. I
would most probably be going for the concert.

Shilpa Rao: As an artiste I really wanted to watch him
perform live but unfortunately I am out of town. We are all really very excited
to have him here as we all love Justin Beiber’s work. One song that I would
want him to sing would be Love Yourself.

Amit Mishra: Justin Bieber’s body of work has been
an inspiration for all of us. I’m glad that he is coming to India for fans like
us. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to the concert because I have a
few recordings lined up. His discography is so huge that picking a favourite
would be unfair but then if you really want me to pick one song it would be
Baby.

Sulaiman Merchant: Justin Bieber is incredible like
who would not be a fan. He has not only reached great heights but also
maintained his stature by a lot of experimentation with his music. The one song
I would want him to perform would be Sorry. I am not sure whether I will be
going to his concert.

Amaal Mallik: Justin Bieber is an amazing artiste. Not
many people collaborate so much after reaching that level but he has
collaborated with Skrillex and many others which has made him the kind of
artist he is. I would not be attending his concert but would want him to
perform the song Where Are You.

Ehsaan Noorani: Justin Bieber is all about
collaborations. I would definitely want him to perform the song Sorry as the
collaboration with Skrillex is just too good. We all love his work.
