The number of coronavirus cases around the world has gone up, and the pandemic continues to spread globally. Amid coronavirus outbreak, several public events, social gatherings have been either cancelled, or reschedules to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Essentially, all sorts of large gatherings are being discouraged, which also means several concerts and gigs too have been postponed. After Billie Eilish, the Eagles, Pearl Jam and other musicians, now Celine Dion and Thom Yorke are among the latest musicians to have postponed their scheduled gigs and concert tours, in light of the current situation.

Celine Dion had released her first English album ‘Courage’ in six years, and has been on a world tour to promote the same. The singer was all set to perform in Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Vancouver, Portland, Oakland and other North American cities. However, she made an announcement on her Twitter stating that her show dates from 24 March to 27 April will be rescheduled. The tweet read, “Céline Dion #CourageWorldTour dates postponed in North America. Show dates from March 24 through April 27, 2020 to be rescheduled. - Team Céline.”

Thom Yorke also postponed the North American leg of his tour, which was supposed to rake place from 28 March to 25 April. Informing his fans of the same, he tweeted, “Due to restrictions put in place to minimise the spread of COVID-19, we regret that the North American leg of the Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes tour is postponed. Ticket holders, please standby for information on a new routing for later this year. Apologies for the inconvenience.”


Meanwhile, music festivals Coachella and Stagecoach have been postponed and shifted to further dates, while Billie Eilish, Pearl Jam, Cher, the Eagles, Jonas Brothers, and others have either postponed or scheduled their gigs to later dates, amid coronavirus outbreak.
