Behind-The-Scenes: Here’s What Went Into Making Rossh’s Latest Song, Stuff
9XM’s music sensation Rossh has been in the news for his peppy number, Stuff. Check out what went behind creating the track....
Rossh has created ripples for his zingy number Stuff. In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE.com he had told us about his musical journey and much more. In this article we talk about what went behind creating this song.
The track was shot at a studio in Saki Naka, Andheri and the team had a gala time while making the video. Directed by Marlin Rodrigues, the song was shot in a day. “The first thing that kicked me was when the makers told me that the song is a Haryanavi rap and they wanted to do something different and that’s how I got on-board, “ said Marlin. He divided the track into tribal, hip-hop and commercial number.
The track is choreographed by Pravin, who has added his own flavour to the song. “There are elements of hip-hop and various other genres and we have tried out level best to make it unique,” he explained.
Since the track has a few elements of tribal techno, it was quite a task for the costume designer and the stylist Rashmi Shastri to out the look together for the track. The costume for the video was directed by Ridhima Diwan. “When this music video comes out, you would see something that you have seen before,” she said.

The biggest challenge for Rashmi was cracking a look as director had brief her that he was looking out for a look which is not too Indian but yet keeping in mind the audiences. “Ridhima and I drew a lot sketches to get the correct look. If you see the track, there are lot of head gears and extensions and it’s not anything usual you see,” said Rashmi.
The set was designed by Akash, who was told to use a lot of LED lights for the set to create a psychedelic effect.
The zingy number Stuff is sung and composed by the rapper himself while female vocals have been rendered by Hina Fatima.
