Actor Suyash Tilak takes a throwback and tells everyone about his favorite animal on this World Elephant Day.
Today is World Elephant Day many people are sharing stories and photos on social media to celebrate this day. Actor Suyash Tilak has also shared a photo and a story video on his Instagram account to celebrate the day of his favorite animal.
In the post that he shared, he is seen kissing an elephant. He also wrote an important message in his caption saying that the elephant is a very intelligent and emotional animal. It is hope for us to survive this climate change and we should try to conserve and protect them from going extinct.
In the video which he added in his story, he talked about the elephant being his favorite animal since his childhood. He also raised the concern about rising human and elephant conflict saying this needs to be stopped. He also said that elephants don’t attack the farmer’s field on purpose, rather they consider it as their territory. He also talked about some solutions to stop these conflicts like using honey bee nests to surround the field that way the bees won’t let elephants get near the field and no one will be hurt. He also encouraged everyone to help conserving elephants and talked about an organization that is working on elephant conservation in West Bengal. The name of this organization is “Ceasar”.
Elephants are the keystone to the ecosystem that they live in. They are important to the ecosystem in various ways like they spread seeds wherever they go resulting in an increase in forest cover, they break large trees that keep the sunlight from entering the forest floor, they dig water holes using their tusks in the dry season, etc. If elephants were to go extinct us humans don’t have a chance of survival that’s why we should try protecting elephants and not only the elephant but every animal because even an insect is important in the ecosystem.
