Mukta Barve To Share Stage With Kiran Bedi And Rani Mukherji For Creating Awareness On Women's Safety
At some point, Mukta Barve and Rani Mukherji have crossed the paths of the real-life hero ‘Kiran Bedi’. While we all know Rani Mukherjee’s dashing appearance as a lady police officer in ‘Mardaani’ and ‘Mardaani 2’, Mukta Barve too was a dashing lady police officer in ‘Bandishala’ who fights the wrath of powerful political and criminal enemies who plan to get rid of her.

These women who were heroes of the narrative of women police officers in reel life will share the stage with Kiran Bedi the women hero of real life in a discussion at Nashik. This event aims at conducting a discussion that can create awareness on the state of security of women in our country.

Mukta took it to Instagram to share the news that was covered by a leading newspaper about this event.

This event will also be attended by dignitaries in their respective fields like Vishwas Nangrepatil, S Bhubhaneshwari, and Pravin Tarde. The event happens in light of recent events where women have been brutally sexually assaulted, and slaughtered, murdered or gravely injured after the rape. The attacks are happening on females of any age, economic background or region.

This talk aims to change the way society thinks about sexual assaults, stop victim shaming, be more strict towards disrespecting women, creating awareness in women about their rights, critically scrutinizing the pro's and con's of media publicity of these events, and giving women safety instructions on how to keep yourself safe based on the learnings from the past events, etc. Mukta Barve will be an ambassador of the Marathi film industry on this panel discussion.
