Filmfare Awards 2020: Amruta Subhash Wins The Best Supporting Actor Female For Her Performance In Gully Boy
The much-awaited award show of Bollywood was one of the most starlit nights in the history of Bollywood with the best of the fraternity united in celebration of great cinema. The film Gully Boy, that created history by winning 13 Filmfare awards, was the star of the night. 

In the category is that of the best actress in a supporting role, the talented Marathi actress Amruta Subhash won the trophy! She stands tall in competition with Amrita Singh for her role in Badla, Kamini Kaushal in Kabir Singh, Madhuri Dixit in Kalank, Seema Pahwa in Bala, and Zaira Wasim in The Sky Is Pink. Amruta shared her excitement on social media. 


Amruta Subhash who played the role of Ranveer Singh's mother in the film who belongs to an economically poor family and is oppressed for her rights as a wife and a woman. 

Amruta Subhash is a diverse Marathi actress who gained popularity for her play Ti Phulrani. She was praised tremendously by fans and critics as she did justice to the legendary actress Bhakti Barve’s benchmark in the same role. Her globally successful film Shwaas in Marathi landed in the nominations for Oscars. She was a part of television serials like Zoka and Avghachi Ha Sansar. Her Emmy nominated Netflix series Sacred Games 2 got her a lot of appreciation in Bollywood and web media for her acting as RAW agent KDY. 

It is not a coincidence that Amruta is a part of all successful projects, as an actor she has the right choice for scripts and a great passion for the art.
