Bigg Boss Marathi 5: Akshay Kumar-Varsha Usgaonkar REUNITE After 20 Years, Actor Recalls, ‘Humne Ek Film Ki Thi, Jismein Hum Naag Hai’
Akshay Kumar recently arrived on Bigg Boss Marathi 5 to promote his upcoming film Khel Khel Mein and was surprised to meet his previous co-star Varsha Usgaonkar
Bollywood actor and filmmaker Akshay Kumar has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his action sequences, comic timings, and versatile performances. He is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Khel Khel Mein along with his co-stars. During the ongoing promotional activities, he also graced the sets of Bigg Boss Marathi season 5. Not only did the episode entail the amazing camaraderie between Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, the host of the show and the actor’s close friend, but he also reunited with his co-star Varsha Usgaonkar after 20 years.
For those who don’t know, Usgaonkar is a well-known face in the Marathi industry and has extensively worked in various films and television serials. Over the years, she garnered a huge fanbase because of her versatile performances. Having worked together in the film Hatya: The Murder (2004), Akshay and Varsha were delighted to talk to each other. The 56-year-old actor went on to praise the actress for maintaining her beauty and grace, over the course of two decades. He continued to speak in Hindi and revealed that Varsha was the same as she was when they had worked together. Kumar said, “Main sabko batana chahta hu ki Varsha aur maine eksath kaam kiya hai. Aur Varsha abhi bhi waisi hi hai.” Referring to the project on which they worked together, he said, “Humne ek naag ki film ki thi. Akshay and Varsha taking a trip down memory lane left the netizens feeling giddy.
Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh, Bigg Boss Marathi season 5 is currently airing on Colors Marathi, and has contestants like Nikki Tamboli, Arbaz Patel, Paddy Kamble, Shubhankar Tawde, Manasi Naik, Abhijeet Sawant, Irina Rudakova, Varsha Usgaonkar, Vaibhav Chavan, Ankita Prabhu Walavalkar, Jahnavi Killekar, Dhananjay Pawar, and Aarya Jadhao.
On the work front, last seen in Sarfira, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Khel Khel Mein, Singham Again, Sky Force, Hera Pheri 3, Kannappa, and the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle in his pipeline. He will also be making his debut in the Marathi film industry with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will essay Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s role.
