Bhonsle: Santosh Juvekar's Film Is Officially Selected For 3rd Singapore South Asian International Film Festival 2019
Santosh Juvekar’s hit Hindi cinema ‘Bhonsle’ yet again dazzles on International platform
‘Bhonsle’ is one of the quintessential Hindi films that premiered in the 'A Window on Asian Cinema' section of the Busan International Film Festival, 2018. It also received recognition in the ‘Non-competitive India Story’ section at the MAMI Film Festival 2018 and the International Film Festival, 2019 at Rotterdam. At a national level, it was screened at the Dharamshala International Film Festival, 2018 and the Bengaluru International Film Festival 2019.
After gaining such a huge success across multiple platforms the maker Devashish Makhija and producer Manoj Bajpayee did not stop there. The film will now be screened at the 3rd Singapore South Asian International Film Festival 2019.
Santosh Juwekar will be representing the film’s team at the festival. In this very exciting moment, Santosh couldn’t resist sharing the news with his fans on Instagram.
Bhonsle is a film about a retired police officer who befriends a North Indian girl and her brother when the local politicians are trying to get rid of the migrants from northern states. A beautifully crafted story that narrates the tale of three lives entrapped in the chaos of a political agenda.
