10 Years Of Harishchandrachi Factory: Here's Why This Prakash Mokashi Film Is A Classic In Marathi Cinema
Marathi cinemas have evolved a lot in the present day from being a family drama, religion-based films, and narration of Maratha history. Films that depict contemporary society, fiction, science or biopics are now more in vogue.

One of such great films was Harishchandrachi Factory. The film was based on Dhundiraj Govind Phalke aka Dadasaheb Phalke. He is the father of Indian cinema who took painstaking efforts to make India's first feature film. He is the man behind bringing the technology of motion pictures from London to Maharashtra.

Bollywood was not always at the apex of Indian Cinema, the first motion picture was a Marathi film. The Film narrated a very difficult life journey of this great visionary without becoming morose. The light-hearted and humorous film brought a Marathi film to Oscar. Prakash Mokashi's excellence certainly holds the credit here.

Nandu Madhav and Vibhawari Deshpande live the experience so well that even after 10 years to the film, we are today celebrating its success. Vibhawari Deshpande moved on to be the star in Sacred Games, Chintoo 2: Khajinyachi Chittarkatha and Hello JaiHind. Nandu too did films like Tapaal, Barayan, and Shala which were pathbreaking and revolutionary.

Filmmakers and critics from across the world appreciated the filmmaker and the entire cast. While the creation of the film is an art, film promotion is also an art this was appreciated in the movie. Harishchandrachi Factory indeed makes Marathi fans proud.
