'Gondya Ala Re': Pallavi Patil To Play 'Durgabai Chaphekar'

Ankur Kakatkar’s ‘Gondya Ala Re’ will stream on Zee5 from 15th August. This series will introduce the forgotten war heroes ‘Chaphekar Bandhu’, starring Bhushan Pradhan as Damodar Hari Chaphekar and Pallavi Patil as ‘Durgabai Damodar Chaphekar’. Pallavi recently released a still from the series.

Pallavi was seen promoting the official poster of the series which gave fans a hint that Pallavi must be the mystery girl in Bhushan’s posts. Pallavi Patil was last seen in ‘Tu Tithe Asave’, ‘Boyz 2’, ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’ and ‘Shentimental’. She debuted her career with ‘Classmates’ starring Sai Tamhankar, Ankush Chaudhary, Sachit Patil and Siddharth Chandekar in the year 2015. She got famous after playing Riya in ‘702 Dixit’s. Her appearance in ‘24’ and ‘Prem He’, brought her to limelight.


‘Gondya Ala Re’ is one of the most bold and thrilling chapters in the history of Marathi youth participation in Indian freedom fight. This series will recreate the assassination on W.C. Rand by Chaphekar brothers.

Pallavi’s co-star Bhushan was last seen in ‘Amhi Doghi’ opposite Priya Bapat in 2018 and ‘Coffee Ani Barach Kahi’ and ‘Satrangi Re’ prior to that. This is a first historic role for Bhushan and this will make it all the more exciting to watch ‘Gondya Ala Re’.
