Prasad Oak, with his upcoming film ‘Hirkani’ that has created a roar of excitement on social media, releases the first song ‘Shiv Rajyabhishek' on his Instagram handle.

This song features 9 artists namely Kshitee Jog, Suhas Joshi, Pushkar Shrotri, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Hemant Dhome, Jitendra Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, Siddharth Chandekar and the actor playing Shivaji Maharaj.


The team creatively blends 6 different art forms to sing praise for the king of the Maratha empire, ‘Shivaji Maharaj’. Powada, Bhajan, Ovi, Kawwali and other forms of Marathi folk are presented in a dramatic way that nearly sends shivers down your spine. The greatness of this King and the love of his people for him is something that is very well depicted in the song.

The curiosity is piqued to know, who is playing the part of Shivaji Maharaj in the film. The makers have maintained this as suspense.

After bedazzling the audience with Kaccha Limbu, Prasad Oak takes the director's seat yet again. The film is set to release on 24th October 2019 under the banner of MAGIJ Pictures and Irada Entertainment co-produced by Lawrence D’souza.

This film is based on a 400-year-old story of a mother who climbed down from a steep cliff with bare hands just to reach her wailing newborn child. She was Hirkani, a milkmaid in Shivaji Maharaj’s fort Raigad. Shivaji Maharaj who was a king with immense respect for women rewarded Hirkani for her courage and built a strong fortress wall on that cliff naming it Hirkani Buruj that stands tall with gleaming pride till date.
