Mira Rajput’s Quarantine Is All About Baking Cakes, Checkout The Recipe Of Marble Cake Made By Her
This COVID-19 lockdown is making people to walk down to their long-lost hobbies like reading and baking. Celebrity wife Mira Rajput seems to have turned to baking during her period of self quarantine. Recently, she took to her instagram to upload the picture of the cake she baked. While sharing the picture she wrote, “Back to baking after many years! Marble Cake on its way 🥮 #goodolclassic #lifeisbetterwithbutter”

Mira even posted a picture of the batter of her marble cake. It is believed that the marble cake first originated in 19th century, in Germany, when marbling two different coloured batters was the norm.

Mira also shared the recipe of the cake, which is easy to make and is perfect to be served with the evening tea, or simply as a dessert too!

Ingredients

Unsalted butter
Cocoa powder
All-purpose flour or maida
Milk
Vanilla essence
Eggs
Sugar

Take 3/4th cups of sugar powder and keep it aside. Then take 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, stir it well and keep it aside along with the powedered sugar.


Next, pour a butter in a pan to bake the cake. In a bowl, take the cup of sugar and whisk it with half a cup of butter until the mixture is creamy and light. Add egg to it every time you whisk the batter(one egg at a time).


Add half a cup of all-purpose flour to the butter and sugar mixture and beat it until it is combined all together. Add half a cup of milk while you are mixing it. Keep beating it until it becomes a thick paste. Add half a tablespoon of vanilla essence to the batter to add some flavour to it.


Now take a little portion of this batter and add two tablespoons of cocoa powder and mix them well. Then take a pan you greased with butter add the vanilla batter and pour chocolate batter on top of it. With a help od clean knife, swirl everything so that it gets a marble effect.

Using the stove method, bake your cake for approximately half an hour, until you insert a knife at the centre and it comes out clean.
