The Design was inspired by Himachali Roots
The entrance door is coloured a bright blue. As you must have seen there in Himachal, they have blue, green, orange houses with red doors, and it’s a very pretty sight, with a lot of accidental charm. Just like that, At her ancestral home, one section is done entirely in maroon—maroon walls, maroon tiles on the outside and white interiors.
Transformed Luxurious Home into a Lived-In Space
Her initial years in Mumbai were spent in a one room flat in Versova.After getting much success in Bollywood, she bought an apartment in Santacruz high rise, which was bore the stamp of her sudden wealth.she said in an interview, “I had enough money, and my only instruction to the designer was to use the most expensive stuff ever."
The Home Is Similar To Her Ancestral Home
Her newly bought house, with Bahl’s help, is a rustic haven which features tactile walls, wooden beamed ceilings, and slate tiles on the floor. Its just like her great grandmother's ancestral house.
She Personally Designed the Puja Space
In one corner of the living room is a small temple, which Ranaut designed herself. Designed with some stone and concrete, it resembles the kind of temples seen in north India.
