Hostel Daze Season 2 Review: Amir Musanna’s Show Will Surely Make You Recollect Your Hostel Memories But Don't Expect Anything More Out Of It

'Hostel Daze' is directed by Amir Musanna and Sangram Naiksatam. The series is been produced by TVF - The Viral Fever and distributed by Amazon Prime Video. It has a total of 4 episodes and all are available on Amazon Prime Video.

The genre of the series is based on adult comedy-drama and focused on the life of college students and their hostel lifestyle. In season 1 we saw the life of students and stress for clearing competitive exams. This season is purely based on the hostel life and the emotions of students. The plot continues with a bunch of students who have passed and have managed to enter 2nd year with the excitement of ragging juniors and holding a rage of seniority. The series starts with a glimpse of seniors ragging freshers in a Gen Z way and later on the story continues with a love affair, breakup, hostel life, and much more. The whole series speaks about college, student’s love life, and a tough friendship.

Overall the second season is well portrayed as compared to the first season. The first season of 'Hostel Daze' was hilarious in terms of story, dialogue, and direction. This time the makers made sure to make a slight improvement to the series. OTT girl Ahsaas Channa sparks throughout the series where she plays a fun bubbly girl, whereas the other cast including Shubham Gaur, Adarsh Gourav, Luv Vispute, Nikhil Vijay, Harsha Chemudu, Ayushi Gupta, and Sahil Verma has beautifully carried out their character. Must say Nikhil Vijay has won hearts with his performance in this series.

However the storyline was a little bit cliché, but still, the characters tried to pull the audience with their performances. There isn't a single scene in the show that has left a lasting impression on me. The first episode alone makes you wonder if watching this is the best decision you've ever made. The series' episodes are short, which is a plus point. The dialogues were impressive this time as compared to the previous series.

All in all, the entire comedy-drama series has put out enough effort that it should be binge-watched at least once. But if you were expecting a joyful adventure like season 1, you're in for a rude awakening.
