One of the most-awaited Netflix shows, Stranger Things season 5 was expected to release in 2025. Fans of the show have been eagerly waiting for final season of the popular American sci-fi show. However, as the anticipation of the upcoming season is at an all time high, a shocking claim by a hacker went viral, which left the the eager audience miffed. A tweet, that has now gone viral, showed a hacker announcing that they will be releasing the first three episodes of the show soon, leaving the fandom and the creators of the show shocked.

As reported by Jagran English, the hacker’s announcement as raised several concerns. Talking about the matter, Soap Central reported that the “anonymous leaker” has stated that they would be released the first three episodes of Stranger Things season 5. Addressing the issue, a Netflix spokesperson told The Verge that one of their post production partners have been compromised and that the footage from many of their other titles have also leaked online. Reassuring that their team is looking into the matter, the spokesperson said, “One of our post production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online. Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down.”
Quoted by the media publication, the report added, “Iyuno, a localisation services provider, has confirmed a recent security incident involving unauthorised access to sensitive content. The company emphasises that safeguarding client confidentiality and content security is its top priority. An active investigation is underway to minimise potential risks, determine the cause, and hold accountable those responsible.”
Talking about Stranger Things, the show started streaming on Netflix in 2016. It starts Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and others in pivotal roles.
