Sacred Games 2 Leaked Online; Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Crime Thriller's Pirated Version Available On Tamilrockers
Netflix’s highly anticipated thriller Sacred Games Season 2 released on the streaming website August 15 and within a day of its release, it fell prey to the notorious piracy website TamilRockers. All the eight episodes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan’s  Sacred Games 2 were leaked online and were available on the piracy website. TamilRockers is a piracy website infamous for leaking highly anticipated films and shows within a day of its theatrical release.

Even earlier, shows like Game Of Thrones, Narcos and many other favorites had been  leaked by TamilRockers. Famous Hollywood, Bollywood and South Indian Film too end up on the piracy website and affect the viewership. As per a report in LiveMint, Netflix has spent ₹100 crore on the series, the most any streaming service has spent on creating original content in India. The highest investment on an Indian web show, previously, would be in the range of ₹3-4 crore (per episode) for around 12 episodes. With such a huge amount spent, the piracy of all episodes of the show might drastically affect the viewership.

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated show released yesterday and opened to positive reviews. SpotboyE Editor Ilika Srivastava wrote in her review of the first three episodes, “As the journey of the viewers and Gaitonde begin almost with the same feeling in season 2 what unfolds is a gritty watch that always wants you to try and solve the mystery before the next step unfolds. But the strong script-writing beats you to that. From the first three episodes that are widely set in Kenya and some bits of it in Mumbai, at least one thing is clear, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane make for a deadly combo. Kashyap as a filmmaker loves to be loud, in your face and high on emotions, Vikram, on the other hand, loves detailing and metaphors. Be it a bowl of water slowly changing colour to Sartaj's blood as it spreads, metamorphically depicting Gaitonde's web taking over Singh's mind or be it the gruesome killing of Kenya's don. Both the filmmakers leave their mark as directors.”
