No Maska Task: Vegetarian Prit Kamani Had To Clean Prawns!- EXCLUSIVE
Prit Kamani had his fair share of struggles while playing the role of a Parsi cook in the Netflix film Maska, the toughest being he'd to handle meat and prawns
Prit Kamani who has been receiving praises for his character of Rumi Irani in the Netflix film Maska talks about his struggles of playing a Parsi cook, as he is a pure vegetarian in real life.
Speaking EXCLUSIVELY to SpotboyE, Prit said, "The most challenging part for me was to do bad acting. My character of Rumi is a terrible actor. See, I won’t say that I’m a great actor, but I’m decent enough. Now here, I had to perform like a bad actor but not in the way that it looks like I am doing a bad scene.”
Prit added, “Overplay bhi nahi karna tha aur underplay bhi nahi karna tha. I actually did this experiment. I called up my friends and one by one, I started giving them scenes from the film and said ‘Chalo, kaise bhi act karo’. In fact, I auditioned my mother, father and sister too and tried to learn their body languages. I just hope people were convinced that I was a bad actor in the film."
He went on, "Also, the fact that I am a pure vegetarian while Parsis are hardcore non-vegetarians wasn't easy for me. I had to handle meat and clean prawns. I had never seen prawns in my life until Maska happened to me! When I saw one for the first time, I thought it was something alien. I had to take the skeleton off and clean it. Not easy, I repeat."
Speaking of the Netflix film Maska, we had also recently interviewed Manisha Koirala (SEE ABOVE) who plays the role of Prit's mother in the film.
