After raising everyone's anticipation level and creating a huge hype, Laxmii is all set to hit the digital world today. And if you're wondering when will the film hit the OTT platform, well, fret not, Akshay Kumar recently took to his Instagram account and announced the release time of the film while he was getting done with his final touches for his transgender role from the man himself, Raghava Lawrence, the OG Kanchana. Sharing a video of himself with the director doing his final touches, he said that Raghava had been his constant guide throughout this journey of Laxmii. The film is all set to release at 7:05 PM, so what are you waiting for? Grab the popcorn and be surprised!

Ahead of its release, Lawrence penned a thank you note for Akshay Kumar who accepted this role. He wrote on Facebook, “My special thanks to Akshay sir. My Hindi debut direction movie Laxmi is releasing in #Disneyplushotstar at 7.05 pm today. Through Tamil movie, Kanchana I wanted to convey the pain and struggles of transgender’s and the movie received a lot of appreciation from transgender’s community and the public. Similarly, When Akshay sir is acting in it’s Hindi remake, I hope the message will reach a wider audience.”


Meanwhile, Laxmii is an official remake of Kanchana which was originally played by Raghavan Lawrence. Akshay and Kiara starrer is also helmed by Raghavan.
