Indraneil Sengupta On His Intimate Scene In Tadap: ‘I’m Not Really Comfy With It, But The Sequence Was Justified’- EXCLUSIVE PICS
Indraneil Sengupta who was last seen in Nimki Mukhiya is all set to foray into the digital world with Ullu App's upcoming web show, Tadap. In an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, the actor revealed what convinced him to do intimate scenes in the show, even though he avoided them in the past.

Talking about his role in the series, the actor said, "I can't reveal much details about the series, all I can say is that I am playing a successful businessman, who is separated from his wife and has a daughter. He wanted to file a case, that's why he took help from his friend who owns a law firm. There he met Shiny Dixit."

Indraneil has shot for a romantic sequence with Shiny. When quizzed if he felt uncomfortable while shooting an intimate scene, the actor said, "Principally, I am not really very comfortable in doing intimate scenes that's why I have always avoided them in the past. If the purpose of the scene is just to make it look hot, then I don't think it is justified. I feel, if a certain story needs to be told in a certain way where an intimate scene becomes an important part, like if you are showing the relationship between two people, which is rooted out of physicality, then we cannot avoid doing such scenes."

He further added, "Nowadays, story-telling is more open and liberal to physicality, so as an actor it’s my duty to adapt to the times and do my job. I cannot have a mind block towards things when it becomes a general approach. If you had asked me 20 years back, whether I am comfortable doing intimate scenes or not, my answer would be different. Because at that time, it was not a general approach, but today, it's the part of story-telling. If I become stubborn at this time and strictly say no to intimate scenes, I feel it would be professionally wrong. But that doesn't mean I keep on doing intimate scenes (laughs). If intimacy is part of the role, but there is extreme nudity, I would not be okay in doing it. You need to draw your own line, also I feel completely blocking yourself is not the right thing professionally at this point of time."

"The romantic sequence in 'Tadap' was justified and we have shot it in elegant and aesthetic way," he signs off.
