After rumours were rife stating Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house, Excel Entertainment is cost-cutting the budget of Amazon Original, the production house has now released a statement clarifying the matter on their Twitter handle

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house, Excel Entertainment has been making shows for Amazon Prime. Shows like Inside Edge, Mirzapur and Made in Heaven, all have been very well received by the OTT viewers. In fact, people are now waiting for Mirzapur season 2 with bated breath, however, rumours were rife stating that due to the COVID-19 crises, the production house is cost-cutting the budget of the shows. With so many financial crises that have been covered by the media, this too seemed to have started making noise. Nevertheless, Excel Entertainment have now put their foot down and rubbished all the speculations as the production house has now released a statement clarifying the matter on their Twitter handle.

To put rest to all the speculations doing the rounds and clear the air, Excel Entertainment issues clarification on their collaboration over Amazon originals. The film production company Excel Entertainment is co-owned by Farhan Akhtar and film producer Ritesh Sidhwani. Excel Entertainment has previously developed three web series. All of them were made for Amazon Prime Video - Inside Edge, Mirzapur and Made in Heaven, charting wide success all across.

Excel Entertainment took to their handle and shared a clarification in the viewer’s interest. They posted, “There has been a great deal of speculation doing the rounds since the weekend about budget cuts on Amazon originals produced by Excel media. We would like to clarify that these assumptions are not true. They have been great partners and we continue to collaborate with them on multiple shows”.
