Dheeraj Dhoopar Approached To Be A Part Of The Bahubali Prequel, The Rise Of Sivagami ?
Dheeraj Dhoopar is known for his stint as cricketer Karan Luthra in Ekta Kapoor’s Kundali Bhagya. The actor has earned immense praise and awards for his portrayal in the show and has been a part of it since its inception four years ago.

Before that, Dheeraj was seen in Sasural Simar Ka as the male lead, Prem Bhardwaj, for which he replaced actor Shoaib Ibrahim. He went on to do that part for about four years before joining the team of Kundali Bhagya.

Last year, the actor was seen in another Ekta Kapoor’s show, Naagin 5 and now, as per reports, the actor is all set to begin his innings in OTT as well. According to a source close to the development, the actor has been approached for a pivotal part in the Bahubali prequel series, The Rise of Sivagami.

Previously, Dheeraj had openly spoken about his willingness to grab every opportunity and explore every avenue possible. He has also spoken about the importance of OTT and how he wanted to be a part of it, and if things materialise, The Rise of Sivagami will mark Dheeraj’s debut in the OTT space.

Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion released in theatres in 2016 and 2017, and the latter even became the first Telugu film, dubbed in Hindi, to cross the 500 crore mark on the box-office. The franchise, which emerged as a monster commercial success, has attained a cult status over the years and is considered a visual masterpiece in Indian cinema.

The success of the franchise gave rise to a prequel web show on Netflix that was announced even before the release of the second film. The series has been in production since then. It was also shot a couple of times, but was scratched every time because of Baahubali director SS Rajamouli not being happy with the final outcome. Actress Divinaa Thackur, who was a part of the show and had shot for it about two years back, recently had told Spotboye.com in an exclusive conversation that the series is being revived with a new cast and director at the helm.
