Coronavirus Outbreak: Netflix Announces Temporary Halt In Stranger Things 4 Production, Disney Follows The Suit
The coronavirus outbreak has taken over everything. As a consequence of growing cases and to avoid the spreading of this deadly virus, carious countries have announced lockdown, while some have shut down all the places where there is a possibility of public gatherings. The coronavirus is just not affecting health-wise, but it has also turned out to be a loss for various sectors, including the entertainment industry. The release dates of many upcoming biggies have been postponed, whereas the productions of many shows and films have come to a halt.

Something similar is the case of streaming and production giants like Netflix, Disney and Warner among others. Now, if the reports are anything to go by, the shooting for the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things has come to a temporary closure until coronavirus doesn’t settle down. One of the reasons behind the halt is also the national emergency that was announced by the USA President Donald Trump on Friday. Netflix said the break was "due to government restrictions and health/safety precautions".

Other than Stranger Things 4, the production for Sex/Life starring Sarah Shahi and Ryan Murphy’s Netflix movie, The Prom, too, have been stopped. The halt is expected to last for the next two weeks and will come into effect from March 16.

Disney, too, has followed the suit. Their official statement read, “While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time.” (ALSO READ - Coronavirus Outbreak: Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Justin Trudeau’s Wife, NBA Player Rudy Gobert; Celebs Who Tested Positive)
