Ranveer revealed that he married in 2010, separated in 2015, and finalized his divorce in 2020. This revelation left fellow contestant Shivani Kumari visibly shocked. When she asked him the reason for his divorce, Ranveer responded with a joke, stating that it was written in his contract not to disclose the reason. Shivani, still reeling from the news, looked at him in disbelief. In a lighthearted attempt to ease the tension, Ranveer quipped that even his ex-wife, Konkona Sen Sharma, wasn't as sad about the divorce as Shivani seemed to be. He humorously remarked, “Itna dukh toh usko bhi nahi hua hoga jiske sath mera divorce hua hai,” implying that his ex-wife didn’t feel as much sorrow over the divorce.
Ranveer went on to share details about their current co-parenting arrangement. He mentioned that he and Konkona live only about 100 meters apart, facilitating their joint parenting of their son. The arrangement allows their son to spend one week with Ranveer and the next week with Konkona, ensuring that he has ample time with both parents despite the divorce.
