One of the biggest superhero series for Marvel has been ‘Black Panther’, but with the sudden demise of Chadwick Boseman, the fate of the series has become a topic of discussion. Various reports and speculations have been going around the circuit regarding the turn Black Panther will take. Recently, rumours about singer and songwriter, Rihanna joining the cast of ‘Black Panther 2’ surfaced and her fans were quite excited.
The rumours started once fans started noticing Rihanna’s name alongside Michael B. Jordan, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o as the cast for the sequel on the Google search. Rihanna’s fans took to their social media, and shared screengrabs of the Google search showing Rihanna in the cast of Black Panther 2. While one social media user wrote, “what’s this? explain, @rihanna,” while another one wrote, “Rihanna’s gonna be in Black Panther 2??? I’m deffo looking forward to this.”
However, E! News reported that there was ‘no truth’ to such speculations. The sequel of the movie is expected to go on the floors next year in Atlanta. In the light of the recent events, the team has had to rewrite the entire script due to the death of its lead actor. The reports of bringing back Boseman using CGI was also rubbished by the makers.
