Michael Jackson is well-known as the ‘King of Pop’ and his contribution to world music is phenomenal. While the singer rose to fame from an early age, he garnered his fame with his music and worldwide famous albums. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century and one of the greatest entertainers, the life story of the artist is a much-needed tale to tell. The life story of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s biopic is now on the cards. Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King has acquired rights to the film based on the life of Michael Jackson.

Hollywood producer Graham King, who produced the film based on the life of Freddie Mercury is now set to make a film based on the life of Michael Jackson. According to a report in Entertainment Weekly, the Oscar-winning biopic Bohemian Rhapsody producer, Graham King, has acquired the rights to make a film based on the life of the King of Pop. Most importantly, the reports state that that producer has also acquired the rights to use all of Michael Jackson’s music as well. As per reports, no studio has been involved as of yet, but the producer has brought in screenwriter John Logan on the project. Logan and King who earlier worked and collaborated on the Martin Scorsese’s Howard Hughes biopic, ‘The Aviator’, will now work on the Michael Jackson biopic together. With Jackson’s life having to be a much-discussed topic this year due to the HBO documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’, the film focused on the stories of Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who claim that they were sexually abused by Michael Jackson as children. While Robson testified in defense of the ‘King Of Pop’ at the singer’s 2005 child molestation, the documentary has encouraged a repulse from the Jackson estate and comedian Dave Chappelle.


Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s biopic for Graham King’s movie will have a lot of material to work with owning to the life story of the singer. With Michael Jackson’s days as a child star and a member of the Jackson Five, to the singer garnering his fame as the ultimate King Of Pop, to his later years and sexual assault allegations, the biopic in the pipeline will surely bring out the topics related to Jackson’s life which have been under the wraps.
