OSCAR 2017 BLUNDER: La La Land Announced As The Best Film Instead of Moonlight!
This could be Oscars 2017’s biggest blunder! The Bonnie And Clyde actors, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced the wrong name for the Best film at the Oscars 2017. They called out for 'La La Land' instead of 'Moonlight,' the correct winner.

Now this goof up definitely left the crowd baffled!

"I wasn't trying to be funny," Beatty assured everyone, after admitting to the mistake and explaining that they had the wrong envelope.

What was more embarrassing was that the cast and crew of La La Land were already up on the stage to give their acceptance speeches and just then the presenters told them of this blunder.

Reportedly, Warren told the audience that they had read the wrong envelope, seeing Emma Stone won for La La Land, who was actually the winner for best actress. Dunaway had read the winner before Beatty could stop her.

This was Dunaway's first time presenting the best picture award on Oscars night, but Beatty has done it twice before - once in 1975 and again in 1990. The 89th Annual Academy Awards was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
