Kanye West Will Now Be Officially Called 'Ye' After His Name Change Request Gets Approved By The Court
US court approves name change request of Kanye West, he is now officially 'Ye'.
Kanye West is ‘Ye’ now. A judge from Los Angeles on Monday approved the request of popular rapper Kanye West to legally change his name to just 'Ye'. Born Kanye Omari West, the rapper requested for the name change on August 24 in Los Angeles, stating “personal reasons” only.
Reportedly, since last year he is trying to call himself ‘Ye’. In the year 2018, he tweeted that he wanted the change saying, he wrote that - “the being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.” In an interview, he revealed that - “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means you. So it’s I’m you, I’m us, it’s us.”
Also, presently, he is in the middle of a divorce with Kim Kardashian West. In the month of February this year, Kim filed papers to divorce her Kanye West after almost seven years of marriage.
However, things have not been very normal after Kanye declared he was running for the White House last year and later went on a rant on Twitter about Kim and her mother. Post all these meteoric tweets, Kim opened up about her husband's bipolar disorder and called for the public to show ‘compassion and empathy. She revealed all this through tweets which were deleted later, he went on a rant about him seeking a divorce from Kim.
