Actor Ellen Page who appeared in films like Juno, Inception and more recently made a big revelation. The actor revealed that he is a transgender and has changed his name to Elliot Page. He penned a long note on social media stating that it feels remarkable to pursue his authentic self. Ellen, now Elliot Page, essayed the role of a pregnant teenager in the film Juno and was even nominated for the Academy Award in the Best Actress category. Elliot Page received immense support from all his friends and fans on social media.
He started off by writing, "Hi friends. I want to share with you that I am a trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To Be Here. To have arrived at this place in my life." He also expressed that he is scared as he wrote, "The truth is, despite feeling profoundly happy right now and knowing how much privilege I carry, I am also scared."
"I'm scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the 'jokes,' and of violence," his note read further. In his emotional note, Elliot also expressed that he will do everything in his capacity to make world a better place to live for transgender. He wrote, "To all the trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better."
