Joker Aka Joaquin Phoenix Reveals A Dirty And 'Filthy' Nickname For His Bae Rooney Mara During His Award-Winning Speech
Joker star Joaquin Phoenix is easily becoming the second-best Joker in the DC universe. The actor's spine chilling act in the 2019 film is getting everyone talking and why not! Though the film is yet to hit the theatres, the film is been premiered at Toronto International Film Festival's Tribute Gala where he even bagged an award. During his award-winning speech, it is proved that no one could give a speech better than Phoenix.

First, the actor mocked the idea of awards and said that he doesn't think that he has earned it. He said, "I don't know who's really giving me this award, who's responsible for this or why," he told the crowd. "And frankly,  I don't care. My publicist said somebody wants to give you an award and I said, ‘I'm in. Let's do it.'"

Then he later pulled out the emotion out of his speech and went for a laugh by calling out a kooky nickname for girlfriend Rooney Mara, who was sitting on the front row for the Joker premiere. "One last thing," he said, wrapping up the speech. "Somewhere here, I don’t know where, is a filthy dragon, and I want to rip its wings off and fasten a blanket and sleep with it forever. … I love you. Thank you." Well, now we got to her 'filthy' nickname and we certainly can't get over it. What say?

Talking about Pheonix's upcoming film, the actor is already generating frenzied awards talk with his role as the arch-villain in Todd Phillips' dark drama. Some even called that he is the best Joker after Heath Ledger who essayed the role of Joker alongside Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.
