Johnny Depp In Deep Trouble? Female Artists Likely To Refuse Sharing Stage With Pirates Of The Caribbean Actor Despite Bagging 3 Nominations?-DETAILS BELOW
Johnny Depp continues to lead the headlines despite the closure of his court battle with his ex-wife and actor Amber Heard. While the judgement was decreed in his favour, his public image has seemingly taken a toll. In a rather shocking turn of events, the 59-year-old actor, who is also a talented musician, earned himself three nominations, courtesy of his collaboration with veteran English guitarist Jeff Beck, for his studio album ‘18’ in the musical categories at BRIT Awards 2022.

These categories include album of the year, best group and alternative/rock act.

However, a recent report suggests that Johnny Depp is likely to ruffle feathers at the BRIT Awards 2022, as female artists may not be interested to share the stage with him.

A DailyMail report quoted a source who suggested that the female artists are likely to boycott the event because of Amber’s abuse allegations against him. The insider said, “Depp would liven up an increasingly dull event, but the Amber Heard case means female artists would probably refuse to share the stage.”

The organizers for BRIT Awards 2022 aim at abolishing gender categories such as Best Male Artist and Best Female Artist. The move comes in order ‘to be as inclusive and as relevant as possible and gender-neutral artists are appreciative of it.’

The latest claims from the insider come in light of the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation case. The ‘Edward Scissorhands’ made a swiping victory and the court awarded $10.35 million in a verdict.

It all began following Heard’s Washington Post op-ed, i which she reportedly accused Depp of domestic abuse. While the ‘Aquaman’ actress did not name Depp publicly, it was evident who she referred to blaming the alleged abuse.

This ultimately resulted in Johnny Depp losing several projects over the years and tarnishing his reputation.
