Celebrities face pros and cons for their celeb status, in current times, where social media has become a powerful tool, Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence had to bear the brunt of it. In 2014 some private pictures of Jennifer Lawrence were leaked on the internet and to date, the actress is suffering the trauma due to it. The actress in a recent interview shared though the incident took place 7 years ago, she is still facing the repercussions of it.
To be seen on the cover of Vanity Fair for the December issue, she spoke about this 2014 controversy, she said, “Anybody can go look at my naked body without my consent, any time of the day.” She continued, “Somebody in France just published them. My trauma will exist forever.” In 2014, the actress’ account was hacked, her icloud was hacked thus giving the hackers access to her private pictures.
Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice and Kate Upton’s accounts were too hacked by the same group of hackers.
In the same year of 2014 controversy, she has told Vanity Fair, “Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting.
