Currently, several countries worldwide have been affected by the deadly Coronavirus with many people staying under self-quarantine to avoid the spreading of the virus. The world has been fighting day and night against the pandemic trying to curb down the spread of the deadly virus. As the COVID-19 pandemic has been taking several lives daily across the world, Hollywood loses actress Lee Fierro of 1975 Steven Spielberg film Jaws. The actress has died of Coronavirus complications, aged 91.

According to reports in Entertainment Tonight, artistic director and board president for the Island Theatre Workshop, Kevin Ryan confirmed the news. As the Fierro was working with Island Theatre Workshop as a director and mentor for 25 long years, Ryan mentioned how everyone will miss the actress deadly. He said“We will miss her terribly. She spent 40 years here on the Vineyard. I’ve been working with her for 30 years here (on Marthas’s Vineyard) and three years since she moved (to Ohio).”

Kevin Ryan shared that Lee Fierro spent 40 years on Martha’s Vineyard and it was only three years since she moved to Ohio to live at an assisted-living facility. The actress who earlier lived in Massachusetts had moved from her home on Martha’s Vineyard, where the film Jaws was filmed.  Actor Lee Fierro was best known for playing the character of Mrs. Kintner in the 1975 film Jaws. Speaking about Lee Fierro, the actress played the role of the grieving mother to young Alex Kintner played by Jeffrey Voorhees who was the second victim of the great white shark attack. The actress also reprised her role as Mrs Kintner in the 1987 film Jaws: The Revenge.


Meanwhile, Lee Fierro has mentored more than 1,000 children and has also starred in many theater company productions over the years. The actress is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
