Emmy-winning series Modern Family will soon come to an end after the final episode of the eleventh season will air in April 2020. It was the last day of filming on Friday, and the team officially wrapped production. Since then, the cast members including Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sarah Hyland have been sharing some adorable and emotional posts on Instagram. The long-running sitcom that revolved around the loves of the modern Pritchett and Dunphy families is coming to an end, and it’ll be sorely missed.
Sofia Vergara, who plays the role of Gloria in the series, got emotional during the last day on set. She took to her Instagram sharing a video, where the entire cast bid farewell by singing Green Day’s Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life). Sofia and Sarah could be seen getting emotional and shed a few tears. And it is only natural since the cast has been together for 11 long years, and watched each other grow through the years. “What a day!! Saying goodbye to our Modern Family,” is what Sofia captioned the video.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell Pritchett on Modern Family also shared a heartwarming post on Instagram. He wrote, “Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting.” -J.M. Barrie. Tomorrow is the last day of shooting @abcmodernfam. Thank you to all of our fans. It’s been a great 11 years & 250 episodes.”
Sofia Vergara also shared many other videos and pictures with her co-actors, documenting the final day of filming.
