Iron Man Robert Downey Jr To Return To MCU In Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow?
Fans of Robert Downey Jr and the MCU could be in for a pleasant surprise as several reports suggest that he is set to reprise his role as Iron Man in Scarlett Johansson starrer Black Widow movie
With Avengers: Endgame, the character of Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr, took his last breath. After the release of the film, Robert Downey Jr has time and again mentioned that Endgame was the last of his MCU journey. Fans of the actor as well as those of Marvel Cinematic Universe were heartbroken by this and wanted to see more of the actor in the MCU. Now, his fans are in for a surprise as Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man might return in the Black Widow movie.
It is known that Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff- who dies in Avengers: Endgame- will finally be getting her solo film. This new Black Widow film will see Scarlett Johansson play the lead and will take place after the film Captain America: Civil War and before the events that lead to her death in Avengers: Endgame. According to a report in Deadline, Black Widow film will see Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Iron Man. While it is still not known that his part will be made out of previous unused footage or whether the actor will actually shoot for his cameo in the film, the film will explore the events from Natasha's time hiding from the United Nations and seeking for Tony Stark's help.
We hope these reports are true as we would love to see Iron Man once again! The Black Widow movie is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige under Marvel Studios. The film will hit the theatres on May 1, 2020.
