Chris Evans reveals how he spoiled a crucial scene from Avengers: Endgame for co-star Anthony Mackie and the latter was rather overwhelmed!
Chris Evans AKA Captain American is quite popular for his jolly personality and onset fun. However, things had once gone out of hands while the shooting for MCU’s Avengers: Endgame. In a confession made by Evans on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Chris revealed how he spoiled the fun for co-star Anthony Mackie by spilling a significant scene from Avengers: Endgame, the script of which was kept secretive. The actor stated that while they were filming in Atlanta, he had read the scene and that’s when Mackie came around.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Evans was quoted as saying, “While we were filming in Atlanta, I had already read the scene. I had a few people over to watch a football game or something and Mackie was the first one to show up. I didn't know he didn't know what was going to happen. And he showed up first and I said, 'Hey man, isn't that scene fantastic?' and he said, 'What scene?' And I said, 'The scene when I give you the shield.' And he said, 'You're giving me the shield?’,” OOPS!
Soon after which, Evans realised that Mackie AKA Falcon hasn’t read the script, he went onto to arrange a copy of the same for him."I got to watch him read the scene for the first time where he's getting the shield and he was so happy and you immediately feel like, 'Man, maybe I robbed this moment from...maybe Kevin Feige deserved this,'" added Chris.
Well, it turned out Mackie was overwhelmed by Chris’ gesture. “It was so nice to share it with him. He was so happy and so deserving. It was a nice way to kind of have, just between us, the transition of characters. It was great,” said the actor.
