The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 spiked the way people connected via digital platforms. From office meetings to hosting some major events, many took the digital path, recent one to be added to the list was the virtual Golden Globe Awards 2021 ceremony hosted on Sunday. Twitter platform observed a huge wave of netizens flooding in with memes and comparing it to Zoom meetings.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the show from two different locations, via Zoom calls, what followed next was numerous celebs being connected via zoom leading to a lot of chaos. From being muting their mikes to having disturbance in the background, the mega event hosted online saw it all. While Daniel Kaluuya went on mute during his thank you speech as he received Best Supporting Actor award, Jeff Daniels' expression and so on, where some of the highlights of the event.
