Friends Actor James Michael Tyler Diagnosed With Advanced Prostate Cancer; Gunther Reveals 'It's Stage 4' Now
Friends actor James Michael Tyler has recently revealed that he is battling Stage 4 prostate cancer since 2018. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about his struggle with prostate cancer and said that his condition has reached his bones. James also mentioned that since it's the last stage, he feels “it might gonna get him one day.”

Talking to a news portal Today Show, James Michael Tyler reflected back on the time when he was diagnosed with cancer and said, “I was 56 years old at the time, and they screen for PSA, which is a prostate-specific antigen. That came back at an extraordinarily high number. So, I knew immediately when I went online and I saw the results of my blood test and blood work that there was obviously something quite wrong there. Nearly immediately, my doctor called me and said, "Hey, I need you to come in tomorrow because I suspect that you may have quite a serious problem with your prostate.”

The American actor added, "I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to my bones. It's stage 4 (now). Late stage cancer. So eventually, you know, it's gonna probably get me.”

The Scrubs star is undergoing chemotherapy to treat his cancer. In an Instagram post, he revealed that he has completed chemo round two. Sharing a photo of himself from the hospital, he had written, “Just finished chemo round 2 last week! Thank you all so much for your outpouring of love and support. It means the world to me. Please click the link in my bio. Early detection can make all the difference. #pcf #prostatecancerawareness #prostatecancer #prostatecancerfoundation.”
