One of the most awaited awards down West, the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards AKA Emmys 2019, which honours the best of Television, is back with a bang! It’s slated to happen over this weekend in the USA amid much extravaganza. And, in a first, this edition of Emmys’ nominations has been widely dominated by HBO’s popular show – Game of Thrones. The fantasy fiction premiered its finale season recently and it didn’t meet the audiences’ expectations; however, this doesn’t seem to have affected their craze as Game of Thrones has received a massive 32 nominations in various categories including Best Actor in the Lead/Supporting, Best Actress in the Lead/ Supporting and much more.

Oh, and  FYI, we also have our Sacred Games Season 2 nominated for the Best Drama Series Award. Other than that, Anurag Kashyap’s Netflix film Lust Stories has also been nominated for the Best Mini-Series, while Lust Stories actress Radhika Apte has received the nomination for Best Actress-Lust Stories. When will Emmys 2019 take place?

The coveted award ceremony is slated to happen on September 22, 2019, in the US. In India, the ceremony commences on September 23, 2019, at 5:30 am.

Emmys 2019 will air on FOX in the US. In India, as per the Television Academy site, the award ceremony will be aired on Star network.

Who is going to host Emmys 2019?

Like Oscars 2019, the 71st edition of Emmys, too, is going to be host-less, though we have a streak of presenters. Interestingly, the cast of Game of Thrones - Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Alfie Allen, Gwendoline Christie, Sophie Turner and Carice van Houten will be presenting the awards. We also have Veep’s star cast including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Kevin Dunn, Clea Duvall, Timothy Simons, Gary Cole, Sam Richardson, Reid Scott, Sarah Sutherland and Matt Walsh, are expected to present the honours.
