Christopher Nolan Dishes Out The Reason Why Dimple Kapadia Was Important In Tenet
Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan leaves everyone amazed when he decides to helm a film, recent one being Tenet which was one of the much-awaited films of 2020. As per reports in IANS, the film which also sees senior Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia in a pivotal role, the filmmaker has finally explained the reason why the diva was important for the film. The director revealed it was not just the Indian backdrop he wanted to use in his film, but also had a connection with the place he shoots. And, hence he decided to welcome on board an Indian actor.

He says, “One of the ways in which you make that meaningful and real is to have a very international cast and have people who are from all over the world, or actors playing different nationalities. Dimple Kapadia plays an important role in the film named Priya that has some grey shades. He says, “For example, I didn't want to come to India and just use American actors and use Mumbai as a backdrop. I wanted to have an Indian character. So Dimple Kapadia in the character of Priya became a very important part of the film.”

Talking about it further, he feels while the film takes the audience on a journey, it is important to give them the feeling of having people from different parts. "Taking the audience on a journey, and giving them the feeling of having people (from) all around the world, it's fun. But it also adds to the stakes of the story because we are making a story that ultimately is about a threat. So the more of the world you get to experience, the more you get to engage within the film," added Nolan.

Also speaking about the spy genre of the film he feels it allows the audience to travel the world, "I've always been struck with the spy genre, one of the things that is really fun about the genre is as an audience member, you get to travel the world, be it places you would never normally go and see things you would never normally see.” ALSO READ: Dimple Kapadia's 10-Minute Role In Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Has Her Gushing-EXCLUSIVE
