Britney Spears' Petition To Move Up Hearing To Remove Father Jamie Spears From Conservatorship DENIED By Judge-Deets Inside
Judge Brenda Penny has denied Britney Spears' request to move up hearing to remove father from conservatorship. Read on!
Britney Spears has been in the news ever since she broke her silence on her conservatorship. As per latest reports, Britney's petition to move up hearing to remove her father from conservatorship has been denied by judge Brenda Penny. Yes, you read that right! Britney will have to wait a little more to have her father removed as her conservator.
According to Variety, Judge Brenda Penny rejected a motion filed by attorney Matthew Rosengart to advance a September 29 hearing to August 23 in an attempt to remove the singer's father Jamie Spears as the conservator as soon as possible. "Every day that passes is another day of avoidable harm and prejudice to Ms. Spears and the Estate," Rosengart said in a filing filed in the Spears case in Los Angeles Probate Court on Thursday.
He also said that moving up the hearing would be in the best interest of the pop star. Rosengart claimed that Britney's father is "dissipating" her multi-million fortune and has exerted "absolutely microscopic control" over her life. On the other hand, Judge Brenda Penny did not include a reason for her decision, but it was rejected without prejudice, which means it may be reconsidered.
After the judge's decision, Britney took to Instagram and shared a few posts. Sharing a video, she wrote in the caption, "Geez look at that flag!!!! I was like “My flag up over the American Flag !?!?” … Yes … I’m tooting my own horn. is that bad ????? I know in my previous post I said you guys know my situation but LET ME CLARIFY ... you only know half of it !!!! And for a lot of you who say I should be cautious with what I post … I mean if you REALLY THINK ABOUT IT … with what I’ve been through I believe I been WAAAY TOO CAUTIOUS !!!! One day I will live on the edge !!!! One day."
