Black Panther actor Letitia Wright, who played the role of Shuri in the Marvel film is an active social media user. She constantly shares updates related to her upcoming projects on her social media handle. The actress also shares videos, pictures, or her thoughts on certain issues, on Twitter. Recently, Letitia got trolled on social media. She faced severe backlash for her recent tweets. The actress posted an anti-COVID-19 vaccine video, questioning the safety and efficiency of the vaccine, which upset her fans worldwide.
According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, Letitia Wright posted a link of a YouTube video that questioned whether or not people should take the Coronavirus vaccines that will be out or vaccines in general. She tweeted the video from YT channel named ‘On The Table’, which is a discussion platform, where its anchor shared his opinions. In the video, the anchor reportedly shared his thoughts on the efficiency of vaccines and the danger that they could cause. At the beginning of the video, the presenter said, “I don't understand vaccines medically, but I've always been a little bit of a sceptic of them,” as per the report. Soon after the actress shared the video, the report stated that many social media users slammed her for spreading false information about the vaccines.
The Black Panther actress reacted to the online trolling and tweeted, “If you don't conform to popular opinions, but ask questions and think for yourself....you get cancelled." Moving on, her MCU co-star Don Cheadle also reacted to the video and tweeted, “Jesus... just scrolled through. hot garbage. every time I stopped and listened, he and everything he said sounded crazy and f***d up." Cheadle then said that he will not defend anyone, but mentioned he will take the rest of the matter with the actress off Twitter. He also stated that he had no idea.

Meanwhile, after the controversy, about an hour ago, on Friday, Letitia dropped a tweet apologizing to her fans. Wright tweeted, “my intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.” She mentioned it was not her intention to hurt anyone and stated that she shared it only out of concerns, nothing else.
