11 Femme Fatales in Hollywood right now

Scarlett Johansson was recently announced to be the top grossing Female actor in Hollywood ever. Her role as the Black Widow in The Avengers played a major part in that. Hollywood has had many super hot films with females in the lead. Here’s the list of the top 11.

#1 The Bride in Kill Bill (Uma Thurman)


The moment Uma Thurman donned the yellow jumpsuit and began thrashing the living hell out of her enemies, an instant classic was created. But Uma’s The Bride wasn’t the only strong and memorable female character in the film.

Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill was scattered with strong female characters. There was Darryl Hannah’s sexy nurse, Elle Viper and the assassin-turned-mother Vernita Green played by Vivicia A. Fox to begin with. Uma’s ‘The Bride’ has a final stand-off with O-Ren Ishii, played by none other than Lucy Liu. The climax could be the most violent scene played out by two female characters.

#2 Black Widow in the Avengers (Scarlett Johansson)


Nobody could have done better than Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, a superhero with a past that joins The Avengers.

Scarlett’s action sequences have amazed the audience right since the first time she took out an entire group of baddies with her hands literally tied behind her hands. As if that wasn’t enough, she has been with the Avengers while fighting varied enemies like aliens.

#3 Artemesia in 300: Rise of an Empire (Eva Greene)


History has several female characters that have shed blood by the gallons and Eva Greene portrayed Artemesia, a ruthless Naval Commander with King Darius in the action fest 300: Rise of an Empire.

Critics lauded her performance as the woman with the past and action lovers feasted on some of the best fight scenes ever choreographed in a historic film.

#4 Alice in Resident Evil (Milla Jovovich)


5 films strong with a 6th set to be in theatres in 2017, Alice has come a long away from being a pixellated character from a game.

Alice has fought them all, zombies, people about to change into zombies, mutated creatures created purely out of amoral chemical reactions.  It doesn’t get more femme fatal-er than her.

#5 Selene in Underworld (Kate Beckinsale)


And right after Alice comes Selene from the Underworld film franchise. The film is about Lycans and the female death dealer Kate. Kate rocks in the amazing action sequences and adds some much-needed acting chops in this role.

#6 Maleficent in Maleficent (Angelina Jolie)


Angelina Jolie has played several strong characters in Hollywood films. She is the original Tomb Raider, she stood toe-to-toe with Brad Pitt as an assassin in Mr and Mrs Smith. Her other action filled performance was in the assassin-centric Wanted. It is Disney’s Maleficent in which she really stands out as a strong, emotional character that is comfortable beating the hell out of a demon as she’s discussing life and love with a young woman.

#7 T3 in Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines (Kristanna Loken)


Kristanna Loken’s character has some similarities to the ones in Ghostbusters. Kristanna had to fill in the very big, strong and legendary boots of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in the third film. There wasn’t much scope for showing of Kristanna’s acting skills because basically the Terminator is anautonomous robot.But the audience was enthralled by the action scenes of Arnold and Kristanna. That leather pant-suit has become one of the most recognisable costumes when it comes to Hollywood villains.

#8 Madison Lee in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (Demi Moore)


Charlie’s Angels features some of the best action sequences featuring women. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu were perfect in this action-fest that was inspired from the television series. But the role that everyone spoke about was Demi Moore’s Madison Lee in the second film. Demi Moore returned to the big screen playing the engative character and carried off some awesome action sequences with others in the cast.And special mention goes to the bikini scene that’s touted as being one of the best ever.

#9 Kara in Furious 7 (Ronda Rousey)


Ronda Rousey is a legitimate badass. She’s a professional UFC fighter who basically goes into a cage to defeat the person who’s another legit badass. Ronda made her mainstream debut with an amazing action sequence with another Hollywood femme fatale Michelle Rodrigues. The audience loved the long, exhilarating action sequence and we can’t wait to see her back in action.

#10 Gidget in The Secret Life of Pets (Jenny Slate)


What does Gidget do when the love of life is kidnapped by an evil bunch of animals, like a rabbit and a pig? She takes the entire pet population in her locality to get him back. And that’s not all. When push comes to shove, Gidget downs an entire army of evil pets. If that’s not femme fatale, we don’t know what is.

#11 Serleena in Men in Black 2 (Lara Flynn Boyle)


Serleena was the most OTT female villain character ever in a sci-film, but memorable too. Giving perfect foil to her insane antics were a zany Will Smith and a poker-faced Tommy Lee Jones.  With her minions, Serleena succeeds in making life hell for the Men in Black, until of course, good triumphs.
