'Red Notice' Becomes Netflix’s Most-Watched Movie Of All Time: Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot And Ryan Reynolds ‘Blown Away’ By Film’s Success
Netflix’s 'Red Notice' has uncrowned Sandra Bullock’s Bird Box to become the most-watched film on the OTT platform.
Red Notice cast is riding high on success as the Netflix backed film has the most-watched movie in the history of the online streaming platform. The film stars Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson in pivotal roles.
Interestingly, Red Notice has dethroned Bird Box to become the most-watched film on the platform after the Sandra Bullock-starrer has held on to the number one spot since 2018.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot were 'blown away' by the news and they even penned a heartfelt note following the recent development.
Johnson expressed his excitement in a recent post and shared viewership data for the action-comedy, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber which is touted to be the streamer’s most expensive film ever.
Sharing a screenshot of a CNN news story, Johnson wrote, “Holy sh*t Breakin’ out the @teremana RED NOTICE is now the most watched film in @netflix history, officially making it the #1 ALL TIME MOVIE in streaming. Previous record held by BIRD BOX in 2018 with 282 million hours viewed. With still 11 days to go, RED NOTICE has been viewed for a staggering 328 MILLION HOURS. With an INCREDIBLE 92% GLOBAL AUDIENCE SCORE!! And we have almost two weeks left of our global run to tally up these extraordinary and ground breaking metrics. Love U guys and THANK YOU!!!”
Gal Gadot, on the other hand, expressed her gratitude to the fans and shared a poster that mentioned that the film had 328.8 Million viewing hours. The poster also revealed that the film ranked in the top 10 list of Netflix in 94 countries and for three consecutive weeks since its release.
"Wow wow wow… WOW! You guys I can’t tell you how happy, how grateful, how blown away I am by these crazy stats and info," read her caption.
Gadot thanked fans and viewers who made the film reach new heights and continued in her caption, "You have made our movie the BIGGEST movie in the HISTORY of @netflixfilm !!! You are the reason we’re making these movies. Your love means the world. And never to be taken for granted. Thank YOU ♥️" Emily in Paris star, Lily Collins took to the comments section and wrote, "Wow!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥".
Ryan Reynolds had also earlier celebrated the film’s achievement as he posted a series of behind the scene pictures and thanked fans for showering the film with so much love. He wrote, "Biggest opening weekend ever for @netflixfilm. Congratulations to this whole team — particularly the #RedNotice crew who spent over half the shoot sequestered in hotels. Huge thanks to each and every one of you."
