Shahid: From Boyhood To Sexy Alpha Male
As he gears up for Shaandaar, Ayesha Nair takes a look at Shahid's fashion choices
You Wore WHAT!?
At the start
Shahid Kapoor entered the industry as a baby-faced chocolate boy. He carried his onscreen sweet guy image off-screen as well and was seen in basic t-shirts and jeans. Mostly, his style was unremarkable and he got lost amongst the far better dressed guys in Bollywood.
Winds of change
The change came somewhere around the time when Shahid was promoting Mausam. Gone were the boyish tees and jeans. He now began to dress more maturely. I mean, the guy was 30 after all. Shirts began to take prominence in his wardrobe. Yet, Shahid managed to maintain his boyish charm.
Dapper gent
From there it was only smooth sailing. He brought out sharp suits, fitted shirts, cool jackets and oodles of charm.
The colour black became his go-to style statement.
Let's not forget that along the way he changed his status from cute to sexy and eligible bachelor to married man.
Wild child
Shahid's style might seem pretty straightforward but don't be fooled. He's got a wild side too. Thanks to his friend and designer Kunal Rawal, Shahid's style has got an edge. He's walked the ramp for his buddy with goth make-up and even sported an amazing jacket from Kunal's collection.
Hair-raising looks
Recently, Shahid got on board with the trend of man buns and undercuts. Now he has a shaggy sorta look and he's killing it in that too. He's also grown a sexy beard and I hope he never finds a razor.
Shirtless wonder
I also hope that he finds shirts to put on as rarely as possible because a part of his evolution has been getting a buff body and he's more than happy to show it off... again and again and again.
