Priyanka Chopra's Mom: 'My Daughter Only Got Stronger After Wendell Rodricks' Comment On Her Grammys Outfit'- EXCLUSIVE
Priyanka Chopra's outfit at Grammys 2020 made many headlines. The Fashion star stunned in a white Ralph and Russo gown with a deep V-neck and was loved by some for that and like every coin has two sides, criticised by some. Ace fashion designer Wendell Rodricks, who passed away yesterday, had a comment, which also became a talking point.

“The neckline goes all the way from LA to Cuba,” Wendell wrote on his social media handle. Almost instantly, Priyanka's mom Dr Madhu Chopra replied to him quite sharply, saying that he had body shamed her daughter on social media while he may not be admitting to it though.

This afternoon, I spoke to Dr Madhu Chopra. The lady sounded very sad. She said, "We have lost a great, talented man. I couldn't believe yesterday evening that Wendell is no more. He had just brought in two puppies to his house to shelter them. He was an ardent dog-lover. Life is so unpredictable."

I continued talking to Dr Madhu Chopra for a while and broached upon Wendell's comment on Priyanka's Grammys outfit. "We hold no grudges against Wendell. Disagreements happen and one shouldn't keep it forever. Wendell was a nice guy. Priyanka worked with him in Fashion.

Plus, if you recall, Wendell had subsequently issued a clarification."

Yes, Wendell had deleted another post (a collage of Priyanka’s pictures from the event) after Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s strong comments against him. Then, Wendell went on to share another close-up picture of Priyanka and Nick along with an explanation that his comments were more about “dress shaming than body shaming”.

Had Priyanka been affected by Wendell's comment in question? "No, my daughter only got stronger after it," Dr Madhu Chopra concluded.
